Halloween!

We all had a good time! Mike and I went to a costume party the week before and yes, I actually got a picture of us! On Halloween, Mike left for Las Vegas to go to the drags so I took the girls trick-or-treating & trunk-or-treating! We had a great time hanging out with the Jaussi clan and watching the annual Ephraim Elementary halloween parade.

Mal's Bedroom

Mal's room turned out awesome, too! She loves the mirror and all the room in front of the mirror to dance & sing! Singing and dancing, fashion shows and much more, is what Mal & her friends/sisters love to do in front of the mirror!

Makayla's Bedroom

Here is Makayla's finished bedroom! She did a very good job painting all by herself and the colors go well with her furniture! I'm still trying to decide if we need something more (or bigger) above the futon. Also, I'm thinking about putting something on the wall to the side of her bed. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

Maloree's room in progress!

Like Makayla, we let Maloree pick the colors for her room. As you can see, her colors are a turquoise blue and purple. Her bedspread has square shapes all over it and the colors are turquoise blue, purple and a lime green. I told the girls that they had to help with the painting and Maloree painted all the walls as high up as she could reach. The walls turned out very well and I was very proud of how well Mal did with her painting. There actually wasn't a whole lot of whining! I might need to figure more projects like this to keep the moaning and groaning to a minimum!

Makayla's room in progress!

After the walls got patched and the girls chose what colors and bedspreads they wanted, we started to paint and try to get the rooms put back together! Makayla chose to paint 3 of her walls a lime green and the other wall pink. Her bedspread is pinks and green with Hibiscus flowers. She really wanted to paint the whole room pink, but I finally convinced her that she would get sick of it really quick! The paint, carpet, bedspread, etc. was Makayla's birthday present from Mike & I. Hopefully it will last a long time and we fixed the water problem for good!

Our Summer Vacation???

Well, what I thought was going to be a pretty relaxed summer, turned out to be a little crazy! In June I told the girls that they needed to clean their room really well because it was getting stinky again. They started cleaning and we finally figured out exactly what the smell was and where it was coming from!! As you can see in the pics, the smell was mold! YES, mold inside the wall. The sprinklers
were hitting the window and leaking down the studs in the wall. I finally knew that I wasn't going crazy and smelling things! So, Mike came up with the idea that since we had to fix the wall in the girls bedroom and in the "workout" room, we should rearrange the rooms and have each girls in their own bedroom. (the reasoning behind it was so that one could not blame the other for things not getting done, etc.) Now the girls each have their own room and it's surprising how well they keep them clean!

Still figuring this out!

I am still slowly getting this all figured out! One of these days I will be actually posting pics and updating what is going on in our lives!
